About FOURCi

Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative (FOURCi) is a leading climate-focused NGO dedicated to addressing the environmental challenges affecting communities across Nigeria. With a strong track record of impactful projects, FOURCi has successfully implemented initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and environmental advocacy. FOURCi partners with organizations like Save the Children International, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), USAID, and the Ford Foundation to drive sustainable solutions in climate resilience, community empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

FOURCi is expanding its Business Development Team to build on its established network and strengthen its ability to attract funding, develop winning proposals, and implement innovative climate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify Funding & Business Opportunities: Search for climate-focused grants, partnerships, and income-generating projects.
Develop Strong Proposals: Craft compelling proposals that align with climate change mitigation, adaptation, carbon sequestration, and other environmental initiatives.
Innovate & Implement Solutions: Spearhead projects that contribute to climate resilience, clean energy, and sustainable development.
Expand FOURCi’s Impact: Build relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen our climate action initiatives.

FOURCi is Currently Exploring Opportunities In:

Climate Change Actions & Education in Schools – Creating awareness and training young climate advocates.
Climate Change Research – Conducting assessments on climate impact and adaptation strategies.
Waste Management & Recycling – Promoting circular economy initiatives and sustainable waste solutions.
Climate Change & Health Systems – Addressing the intersection of climate change and public health.

Who Should Apply?

Academic Qualification: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Business Development, International Development, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in humanitarian/development work or an equivalent sector.
Proven Track Record: Must provide at least one successful business development proposal you have written that received a positive response (grant awarded, project funded, or partnership secured).
Passion for Climate Action: Strong commitment to climate change mitigation, adaptation, and sustainable development.
Strong Networking & Partnership Skills: Ability to build relationships with donors, organizations, and key stakeholders.
